The news of Sammie Okposo’s death was confirmed by his brother, Joe Praiz.
The singer made headlines on January 24, this year, when he took to his verified Instagram page to apologize to his wife, Ozioma for infidelity.

Following the apology, Okposo who broke into limelight with ‘Wellu Wellu’, a Niger-Delta praise melody, told his fans that he would be taking a step back from his ministry to focus on restoration and seek forgiveness.
