Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, has assured residents of the state that he would do more and listen more to the people if elected in 2023.
The PDP candidate, who is also the incumbent speaker of the State House of Assembly (DTHA), gave the assurance on Friday during the Delta State Campaign Council ward-to-ward campaigns in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, saying he is a unifier and pan-Deltan.
Oborevwori who also is the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria said it was the first time a governorship candidate was campaigning to all the 270 wards in Delta State.
He noted that it was only the PDP that could reset Nigeria and urged the people to vote Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa as president and vice president respectively.
“I and Sir Monday Onyeme as governor and deputy governor respectively; Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon. Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives and Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo for Delta State House of Assembly, Ethiope East Constituency,” he said.
“Please, I am appealing to you to vote for Chief Ighoyota Amori, JP as the senator to represent Delta Central Senatorial District because Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie and Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu have represented Urhobo at various times. He will represent us perfectly because he has the capacity to perform very well.
“Vote for Amori, vote for Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives candidate, Ethiope East/ Ethiope West Federal Constituency,” Oborevwori pleaded.
Also speaking at the campaign, Amori, Ibori-Suenu and Akpowowo, tasked members of the party in the area to begin unit-to-unit campaign for total victory of the party.
The wards visited include Ward 10, Samagidi; Ward 6, Kokori; Ward 11, Isiokolo; Ward 4, Emadadja and Ward 8, Ujevwu, said they were in the wards for need assessment and to solicit for the people’s votes.
